Promoting development in the South East & Niger Delta

Biafra Today

BIAFRA TODAY ...

Enslavement of the Biafran people.

We  express our grave concerns about the violent attacks by Nigerian government forces on individuals associated with the non-violent groups who want the restoration of the Sovereign State of Biafra, in Southeastern Nigeria. Due to the escalating violent attacks against the Igbo community and other ethnic groups in the enclave, we urge you to promote (with any authority you have contact with) peaceful negotiations between the Government of Nigeria and the Igbo and Delta Region peoples.

Our organisation will continue to work for the non-violent restoration of the Sovereign State of Biafra which will ally with Britain, USA, Israel and other Worldwide Countries. Igbo's have been in this area for thousands of years and the State of Biafra has been recognised by the Western world (especially Portugese explorers) from as far back as the 15th century.

The meaning of Biafra is NOT taken  from the Bight of Biafra, but taken from Bia (come) fra (Efraim) - meaning: 'coming from the tribe of Efraim'.
If you care to check  Efraim  you will see the biblical references to back our claims.

We are promoting the rights of Igbo's and other south-eastern ethnic groups to have a political, non-violent referendum on the right to rule ourselves - ie. Sovereign Republic of Biafra, we know that Nigeria was designed and agreed by Lord Lugard and his wife. His wife actually naming Nigeria!

Igbo's and other inter-related peoples from the East have no common heritage with Yorubas or Hausas - although we have no fight or argument with them, we recognise they would also wish to rule themselves - therefore, why were Igbos subjugated into a Colonial state (not recognised by Igbos) in 1914 against their own wishes? Biafrans are NOT Nigerians. We request that you would inform anyone of authority that to deport Biafrans to Nigeria is committing Genocide.

Igbos and other ethnic groups who are inter-related to each other have NEVER ceded the right to exist as a Sovereign State to any group of people or nation, pre - or post -1914. There is NO documented referendum nor plebicide that supports or legalises the 1914 amalgamation of Hausas, Yorubas and Igbos as a single political entity. The Good Shepherds believe that the inclusion of the Biafran nation in the State of Nigeria was illegal and an act that was worse than slavery.
The fact remains that even though slavery was abolished more than 200 years ago, our people and their future remain mortgaged and therefore sold, to the 'Nigerian Corporation' with NO hope of our people regaining their freedom, which is a Human Right accorded to them by International Law. At the moment there are over 200 men and women & pregnant women, who were members of MASSOB, who were allegedly killed by Nigerian state agents, who are yet unburied from June 2006.

The world cannot remain silent about the continuous killing of our people from the Niger Delta, Igbo mainland and Ogoni - land. In 1999, hundreds, if not thousands of innocent civilians were massacred in Odi, before this, Ken Saro-Wiwa and nine others were murdered by the Federal Government of Nigeria. In the last 9 months hundreds of people have been murdered at Onitsha.
Please follow this link and read the Report Documented by Innocent Dike, it is a long read but is well presented and very well researched with accurate names, dates & figures

Our environment is facing ecological disaster as a result of the recklessness of oil companies. This travesty of Justice must be addressed by all powers that be in the world today, because the unjust situation in Nigeria is heading to an explosive point once again, will it take another  3  MILLION  BIAFRANS  TO  DIE  BEFORE  THE  WORLD  WILL  ACT ?

Good Shepherds Movement Celebration Days

Eke Martin and Easter Day Celebration

To the Good Shepherds Movement (GSM); the Americans and African Continent, Mr and Mrs Martin are heroes that are worth celebrating and remembering. For this reason the GSM has now created in its calendar the EKE Martin & easter  Day celebration in honour of the brave heroes and all the others who have paid the ultimate price of giving their life for the Biafran people, as Christ did for humanity.  This day will be celebrated around Easter time.

Orie Odumegwu Ojukwu

Dim Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu is a distinguished and eminent Igbo Lion and 1st Biafran President  who does not require introductions in the minds of the Igbo people and the Biafran world; our adversaries and the world at large.  His nobility, his wealth knowledge and bravery was used to defend the Biafran people; till date he has maintained a zeal to speak out whenever he feels that the interest of our people has been threatened or marginalised. For this reason the GSM has declared the Ori Ojukwu Day in their calendar as a day marking the celebration of all those who sacrificed their time, wealth, and energy to defend our home land.

The GSM wholely subscribes to Ojukwu's doctrine of the propagation of Biafra of the mind, as a way of keeping the dream of the ancient landmark of Biafra alive without a need for war or violent conflict. This day will be celebrated around May 30th.

Afor Abie Nathan na uwa n'ile

Abie Nathan is a celebrated fighter pilot, commercial airline pilot, philanthropist and peace campaigner whom the GSM in delegation were proud to meet. In remembrance of his contribution to alleviate the annihilation of the Biafran people through mass starvation, as a result of blockade of food and medicine. Also in remembrance of the contributions of other Nations; Organisation and community, the British community, the Holy Ghost Fathers Community and the contributions of nations such as Israel, Haiti, Tanzania, Zambia, Ivory Coast, Sao Tome, Portugal, France and Ireland to alleviate the suffering of humanity in Biafra. In recognition of individuals; of justice for the Biafrans in principle, the GSM has therefore declared Afor Abie Nathan Na Uwa N'ile Day Celebration to mark the occasion. This special day will be between June and November.

Nkwo Shepherds N'aka Kristi

As GSM recognised Jesus Christ as the First Shepherd who left the splendour of the Kingdom of Heaven and came down to Earth to save and redeem the sinful world.

We accept Him as a model in all ramifications we therefore recognise all GSM members and all those who accept the ideal vision and ideology of the Good Shepherds Movement . In so doing the GSM have declared the Nkwo Shepherds n'aka Kristi Day as a day of celebration in Christ for all those who wish to help to restore the ancient landmark of Biafra as prophesied in Zephaniah, Chapter 3, Verse: 9-21 and Ezekiel, Chapter 37,Verse 15-28.
